Motorola Press Event at MWC: New Watch and Moto X Coming

Despite Motorola’s current state of flux regarding their acquisition by Lenovo, there are plenty of products in the pipeline. At the press event this evening, Rick Osterloh made a couple of interesting statements. The first is the position of wearables, and that Motorola is in the process of developing a smartwatch. The focus for the watch will be making it stylish – their current issue with current devices is the lack of style and finding a device that people actually want to wear. Motorola will try and fix this.
Also, for the briefest of moments, the panel was asked regarding the next version of the Moto X. The answer was simply ‘sometime in the summer’.

Not really. All the other phone manufacturers are doing the exact same thing, update the hardware yearly, while adding little gimmics to bolster the standard experience. Moto was the only real company to innovate with their notifications system and touchless controls. The only problem moto has is advertisement. While that is all true. Moto was slow in pricing their products right. They started up higher than they should be like the Moto X but the Moto G corrects that. Glad to hear there's a new X on the way. After trying the LG2, the Galaxy 4, and HTC One, I found the Moto X to be as fast, far more convenient, and with a better form factor (for me, anyway. YMMV). I've even come to prefer it to my iPhone 5s, especially with Aviate on the X. I think I agree with Hyperlite...likely to be tough slogging, but Lenovo wants the US market badly, and may be prepared to do whatever it takes to have an upscale brand in their stableOieasu - Tuesday, February 25, 2014 - link

Have a Moto X currently and will have to be convinced to upgrade.Only thing missing from my perspective is wireless charging.
hmm...maybe new camera UI and OIS, if done correctly.
