At BUILD today Microsoft just announced that the same version of Windows 8 Developer Preview we've been using on Samsung tablets for the past day will be available at 8 PM PST this evening. More details and the ISO will be available on dev.windows.com for anyone with a Live ID to download and try out.

The platform preview will receive updates as development progresses, and has no mandatory activation.

guess I'll have to get up early. Problem is, how to find sleep right now, after this exciting presentation?

Given being released as an ISO, I assume this build will be for x86 only? While probably infeasible at this point, an ARM release would be interesting since it seems the biggest take-away from this release is the Metro interface. I could finally put that TouchPad to good use. ;)

x64 with sample apps and developer tools, and x86 or x64 for just the build with the sample apps.
