The cost of AOpen's AX6BC at the time of publication of this review was averaging around $110, in order for the AX63 to truly be a viable alternative the cost of the board would have to be at least at the $90 mark if not lower. In the even that you do stumble across such a deal, the AX63 is probably at the top of the Apollo Pro Plus based motherboard list in terms of its quality and ease of use, however unless you're on a tight budget, you'll probably want to consider a more stable BX board as an alternative, maybe even AOpen's own AX6BC.
