Noise

The noise test consists of pictures of our studio shot taken at increasing ISO levels to show the effect on the image. The pictures were taken after resetting the camera to its factory default settings. The highest quality recording mode was used. Click on a 100% crop below to view the full-size image.

As you can see from the crops above, noise doesn’t become a real problem until ISO 400. Even at ISO 200, the image retains a good amount of detail and is quite usable. At ISO 400, there is a significant addition of noise and loss of detail. Overall, we were very impressed with the noise performance on the S60.
