How it Rates

AnandTech Motherboard Rating

Rating (x/10)

Cooling

In our testing, the FK-320ATX was one of the coolest cases we've tested to date - even without all optional fans installed. Compared to many other cases in this class, the difference is not huge, however.

8.0

Expansion

Three 5.25" external bays, one 3.5" external bay, and three 3.5" internal bays is not massive, especially for a case this size and with the target market in mind. We'd really like to see at least one more 5.25" external bay and possibly another 3.5" bay (external or internal).

4.5

Quality

Like the FK-603, we have nothing but praise for Fong Kai's construction quality on the FK-320ATX. No sharp edges were to be found anywhere and all panels fit together very well.

The included Enhance 300W power supply is also one of the best in the business as it was the only model in the AnandTech lab to power the Kryotech 1GHz Athlon system from SYS Technologies in a 100% stable manner.

8.0

Features

The screwless design of the FK-320ATX is a big plus, but is balanced by the lack of a removable motherboard tray. The sliding translucent drive bay cover isn't particularly useful but does lend a nice smooth look to the front of the case. The optional intrusion switch is, however, a slightly useful feature that we're starting to see on more and more cases these days.

6.5

Price

At a little over $100, the FK-320ATX is priced as it should be for an entry level workstation / server case. That's not bad for what you get, but there are others out there in the same ball park.

6.0

Availability

The Fong Kai FK-603 is widely available at the moment, but the FK-320ATX was only recently released. If demand for the FK-320ATX grows, we expect all dealers that carry Fong Kai cases to pick it up as well, so availability should be pretty good. If we're lucky, maybe Best Buy will expand their support for Fong Kai to include the FK-320ATX.
