That's right, I'm l'hardware chef.

Here's what I've got on the burner for the next two or so weeks:

The long awaited desktop Pentium M review is well underway, I've clocked in about 36 hours of benchmarking time thus far and I've probably got another 60 - 90 hours left before I'm done. The comparison will be to everything you see in the Pentium 4 570J Review, just so you know what to expect. And maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to pull a rabbit or two out of my hat while I'm at it (no not for cooking).

Alongside the desktop Pentium M testing I've been playing around with iMovie HD a lot on the Mac mini - so I decided I'd do an iMovie HD on the Mac mini article. See before AnandTech I wanted to be a doctor, and before the dreams of healing people I was into editing their videos, so iMovie HD is interesting to me. In fact, I think my first experience with a non-crappy school Mac was during my video editing days when I first started doing NLE. Just as a sidenote, the more I use the mini the more I realize that is does perform extremely well despite its laptop hard drive - that is if it's equipped with 512MB of memory.

Speaking of memory, I've put in requests for all the modules necessary to do our first Mac memory roundup here on AT. More than anything it will serve as a guide for upgrade options and prices rather than performance comparisons (simply because all Mac memory should perform identically, there's no tweaking Trd or Tcl timings here). I figure it'd be a good way to answer the question - "will ___ work in the mini?"

I've also been toying with the idea of doing a performance analysis of World of Warcraft, given its extreme popularity - but that's something that I haven't fully conceptualized yet outside of the initial "hey, this would be cool" stage.

And there you have it - there are also some NDAs coming up that Derek and Wes will be covering later this month and on into February. Jason is also working on some interesting 64-bit server tests and yes, Johan is working on a CPU architecture article that should be ready in the next two weeks or so.

I'm in the middle of packing right now (non-marketing speak: I've delayed packing so I can blog) - Vinney and I are off to meet up with her brother and some relatives in NJ tonight. I'll be back Sunday night, but I'll have the laptop with me so I may get some work done on the trip.
