If you're waiting to get your hands on an Eee Pad Transformer Prime, you're going to have to wait a little bit longer. ASUS is expecting the first etail and retail availability in North America during the week of December 19th (not the 12th as was originally expected). If you're planning on giving the Prime as a gift this year, you may want to have a backup just in case. No word on quantities yet.

Be sure to check out our review of the Prime to tide you over!

I'm assuming since I pre-ordered it, I will receive it at the initial release the week of the 19th?

So just make the full pre-order now. Should be the same price and you can bill it as part of your budget.

Hopes by Glibous on Thursday, December 01, 2011
I really hope this product does well. I've always like ASUS products and would like to see them grow even more in the tablet market. I've found they have the best quality/cost products around. Although Samsung has really stepped up in quality as well over the years.

I think back to the Samsung N400 smart phone....then jump to Samsung Instinct....then jump to Galaxy series.

With the release of this product, I wonder if we'll see more heavily threaded programs being developed.

28 nm model by haukionkannel on Thursday, December 01, 2011
Quite nice tab indeed! Does anyone know if they are going to make 28nm upgrade, or will it be a completely new model?
Just hoping to have a little bit longer battery life...

Seems like another Asus supply flub by kenyee on Monday, December 05, 2011
You'd think they'd learn by now after the mess the first time around where everyone wanted one but no one could get one...
