The SD-11 was the first Athlon motherboard we tested to use an AMD 751 North Bridge with a VIA 686A South Bridge.

Our experiences with the SD-11 weren’t pleasant at first, primarily because we received what many unfortunate users went out and bought, a buggy initial revision of the motherboard.

After finally receiving an updated revision of the board, our experiences were much better, but the board’s time has long passed since the attention has shifted towards KX133 solutions now.

The unusually large SD-11 wasn’t the most stable out of the AMD 750 boards either, so other than the fact that it was more available than the rest of the boards, there was no reason to opt for it as an Athlon solution.
