What happened to Display Port? Wasn't it Apple along with a few others that were really pushing that interface? I'm fine w/ HDMI since you can get DVI from it, but you could do even more with DP and I believe are less (none?) royalties.BSMonitor - Monday, June 11, 2012 - link

Thunderbolt uses the mini display port connector and you can plug any display port device into the Thunderbolt ports.tipoo - Monday, June 11, 2012 - link

Do my eyes deceive me? Is that an Apple product with USB ports?Looks like Apple is NOT always directing where its followers go. Steve would be disappointed.
Looks good but not for me.

I think IvB's chipsets provide USB 3.0, so Apple would be foolish not to utilize it. Before IvB, I think OEMs had to include another chip to handle USB 3.0.randomlinh - Monday, June 11, 2012 - link
and this is why Apple dogged the competitors with the whole usb 2 or 3 on either side. no sole usb2 ports anywhere.Zink - Monday, June 11, 2012 - link
It only has two USB ports which is a bit insane for a machine like this. USB hard drives, USB flash drives, DVD drive, keyboard, mouse, USB audio, phone. Thunderbolt can't replace many of these things and certainly can't do it cheaply. I guess USB hubs aren't that bad, they can cut down the number of cables you have to plug in.solipsism - Monday, June 11, 2012 - link
You mean who Apple was the first company to let go of serial and parallel ports for USB ports across their Macs and are still using them? Yeah, Steve would hate that. </sarcasm>madwolfa - Wednesday, June 13, 2012 - link
If this is a PRO, where's the Ethernet port then? How am I supposed to take it to the datacenter?
