The Crucial m4 SSD Update: Faster with FW0009
by Anand Lal Shimpi on August 31, 2011 12:56 AM ESTAnandTech Storage Bench 2011 - Light Workload
Our new light workload actually has more write operations than read operations. The split is as follows: 372,630 reads and 459,709 writes. The relatively close read/write ratio does better mimic a typical light workload (although even lighter workloads would be far more read centric).
The I/O breakdown is similar to the heavy workload at small IOs, however you'll notice that there are far fewer large IO transfers:
AnandTech Storage Bench 2011 - Light Workload IO Breakdown | ||||
IO Size | % of Total | |||
4KB | 27% | |||
16KB | 8% | |||
32KB | 6% | |||
64KB | 5% |
Our lighter workload however shows about a 6% gain in performance over the older firmware. Granted a 6% increase in IO bound performance likely won't be noticeable in real world tasks, but it's always nice to see numbers moving up.

You self have recommended and the Intel SSD 320 have gain a lot of credit for it's reliability. Since this is debated i think you leave out Intels complete SSD disk is bad... and give the performance a to important role. No disk is useful if you loose the data on it...hoangcodo - Friday, December 9, 2011 - link
You to help me withI bought Crucial SSD SSD 512 GB M4, yesterday is still attached to the SERVER received, read, save data normally but today it does not grease the machine up to store data, not to delete data. The way you see the fix on my answer helps, thank you.
