Cooler Master Creates a Monster

Cooler Master impressed us with the largest cooler we’ve seen so far. The V10 consists of two 120mm fans, one mounted vertically and the other horizontally. The horizontal fan is located above the DIMM-slots and will cool the ram through the fins of the cooler later. Simply put, the V12 is massive, capable of providing AC to a small European country if necessary. The V8 has a different design, with only one 120mm fan which located in the middle of the cooler.

Formerly a subdivision of Cooler Master that focused on custom paint jobs, CSX is splitting off from Cooler Master to form their own company. One of the nicest paint jobs we’ve seen at the show is their exclusive NVIDIA case. Pictures don’t really do the case justice, but it looks awesome and is based off the Cosmos case.

When an air cooler takes up more space than water or phase cooling, it's time to throw the chips in. It looks cool, I'll give you that, but I can't imagine buying a case that would even be able to fit the V10. it looks like no matter which way you turn it, it would be rubbing against something, unless you can fit it over the memory sticks in an open air case so that it doesn't hit your drive bays. I mean they had to prop the thing up with a phone! I don't want to build scaffolding in my case to hold my cpu cooler up!

ya - this cooler is way too restrictive
cant access the ram slots while cooler is on
possibly hit drive cage because its so wide
possibly hit case door because its so tall.
so heavy it bears weight on areas which cant stand it

I think the idea is ok though -
they need to find some way to use the space but still not be restrictive to other components.
Maybe have two bendable/adjustable heatpipes that come off the cooler to an area where you can place a secondary reservoir heat sink?
Much like in water cooling where you would have a reservoir placed at the bottom of the case.
Actually maybe just two heatpipes that attach to the 5.25" drive cages? then the case becomes a part of the heat sink? Similar to the TNN case by zalman

Looks like there are three coolers there - the V8 and V10 (labeled on cooler) then a third one with copper-colored base and heatpipes and 2 vertical fans.

The set of pictures shows three total heatsinks. The v8 as shown here, the V10 as shown here and THIS that I was under the impression was to be the V12. Any help?

She didn't have a name for the copper cooler (3rd one) with the two 120mm fans inside.
