You begin to see a much larger performance range under SYSMark 2000 with the slowest board tested, the AOpen MX64 being a full 8% slower than the top five boards that tied for first place. While the AOpen is more stable than a few of the boards at the top, the Gigabyte boards are just as stable as the AOpen and perform at the top of the roundup. So it's not necessary to have a lower performing board in order to have a stable motherboard.
