The Contenders

Before we get to what GPUs were included in this comparison, let's talk about those that could not be included.

Although Epic has the game working with the Voodoo3, Voodoo4 and Voodoo5 series of chips, the current benchmark does not work with them. This obviously means that we could not benchmark any of the former 3dfx offerings although owners shouldn't be worried as the game will work with your card.

The world's first AGP 8X solution, SiS' Xabre 400, would not work with the benchmark either. SiS is in contact with Epic and is working on fixing the situation through drivers but unfortunately their developer relations team is definitely not up to par with ATI and NVIDIA in terms of response time.
