underreported fact is they had to do this to have a "smooth" image

It is big, but, unmanufacturable. They have a lot of work to do before we see these at Walmart.

uamanufacturable? Since they built one for the show guess that shoots your theory in the foot. But you could say prohibitively expensive or unprofitible. But from what I've seen from other manufacters it just 4 smaller 1080p panels butted together so while expensive it shouldn't THAT expensive.

In the meantime, just buy one of their projectors.

However, why would the bug zappers contribute to a smooth image?

Why does a 150" plasma screen need bug zappers on both sides? Is it to zap the nerds that are attracted to it like moths to a porch light?

No, that's to zap your wife (or significant other) when she goes to step in front of the tv set, during the superbowl (or other highly important sporting event), right as the play of the game is happening. Keeps you from having to apologize later from yelling at her (him, whatever).....though you will have to figure out an excuse as to why they woke up on the floor, and 10 minutes had gone by!

I would not want to see the woman who could cover that entire screen.
