The Cooler Master MM720 Lightweight Gaming Mouse has dropped in price again to a new all-time low. We covered a discount for this mouse back in May in which Newegg offered it for $35, but the price has come down even further to just $26, this time through Amazon.

The $26 price is only for the White Glossy edition but other versions of this mouse are available. The only other edition in stock is the Matte Black version which is currently priced at $30.

The honeycomb pattern on the top of the mouse is arguably its most notable design feature as far as looks are concerned. The shell is made from ABS and features PTFE feet on the bottom for sliding. It’s made only for right-handed users, offering 6 separate buttons using optical switches.

The Cooler Master MM720 Gaming Mouse is controlled by a 32 bit ARM Cortex M0+ processor. For motion tracking, it’s fitted with a PixArt PMW3389 sensor which is capable of reaching a maximum DPI of 16000. According to the official specifications from Cooler Master, it has an IPS tracking speed of 400.

It’s a wired mouse, using a USB Type-A interface at the end of a 1.8-meter Fixed Ultraweave cable. Users can expect a little protection from light exposure to moisture and dust as it’s IP58 certified. There are also RGB LEDs in two zones that can be personalized with custom effects.

I grabbed one when it was on Woot a couple of weeks ago for $29. It's not too bad, the lightweight cord makes it feel like a wireless mouse but with much better accuracy and response. The mouse itself is *too* lightweight though; it takes some getting used to coming from a Logitech Bluetooth mouse. I find myself picking it up slightly off the desktop when I move it, and there's a bit of jitter introduced that doesn't happen with heavier mice. No comment on the RGB lighting as I'm not a teenager showing off for the PC Master Race, I set it at a dim blue that's easy on the eyes and leave it there. Overall though it's not bad if you can get it at the price above. Reply
