Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master: was $279, now $249 @Amazon

Today we're showcasing a discount on Gigabyte's B550 Aorus Master motherboard. The AMD B550 chipset-based motherboard is the perfect companion for something like AMD's just-launched Ryzen 5000 series processors. It's usually priced around $279 but is available today for $249 at Amazon with free shipping for Prime members.

The ATX form-factor board is one of Gigabyte's more premium models, featuring Wi-Fi support and a 2.5G Ethernet jack. As for expandability, board includes three full-length PCIe slots, with the top slot operating at PCIe 4.0 x16 while two full-length PCIe 3.0 slots provide x4 connections, and there are another three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots for storage. For memory overclockers, the Master can support up to 128GB of DDR4-5400 using four, dual-channel 288pin slots.

For some added flare, the board also offers LED lights, complete with the necessary RGB controls.

Check out the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master motherboard product page on Amazon for more details and checkout options.

Good mobo but does its HDMI support 4k 60Hz 4:4:4 needed for good visibility of texts? Reply

The HDMI port is rated for HDMI 2.1, so yes. But when it comes to onboard graphics, all the hardware is on the APU itself, so it matters more what the APU supports. In this case you need a Ryzen 4000-series (renoir) APU for HDMI 2.1 support. I believe most B550 boards are rated for HDMI 2.1, but you can check on the motherboard's spec sheet.

I would probably buy a cheaper board than this one for an APU build. The higher end components in use here are a bit wasted on a low-end system.

Is it me or is there a trend with these b550 mobo's where rather than them being positioned as a midrange product which it is, oem's are taking their high end x570 mobo's and slapping the b550 and selling it at high end prices? Reply

Yeah like 20 years ago :) As someone that buys high end motherboards it literally has been 20 years since they were a $100. Anyhow you can find cheaper boards for around $100. Reply

Link works for me, if you're still looking for a good deal on a B550. It's for the mATX variant - $110 is a great price for this board. Reply
