AnandTech Mobile Show at CES 2014 Today

A couple of months ago Brian and I did a mobile show on video live from IDF where we discussed a lot of what was going on in mobile at the time. Intel was a huge help to us back then by providing support in the filming and production of the whole thing. It went over so well that Intel offered to help us out at CES this year to do the very same.
This evening (at 6PM PT) Brian and I will be at Intel's booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Central Hall, Booth #7252) filming the second on-location AnandTech Mobile Show. We'll be discussing all of the mobile announcements at CES thus far, including the Tegra K1 that was just announced earlier this week. If you're at CES, feel free to drop by Intel's booth to check out the show as it's being filmed. We'll post the show to our YouTube channel immediately afterwards so look for it tomorrow evening.
Update: It looks like we may get Intel's Hermann Eul (VP and GM of the Mobile & Comms group) to stop by for a candid interview on the show. This is going to be an exciting one. If there's anything you guys want us to discuss on the show let us know in the comments!

Australia doesn't have unlimited download and even smaller amounts of mobile data. Being able to keep it on the device is a big deal.Due to the recent Youtube only ones, I only get to find time to listen/watch the shows about twice. Podcasts usually 4+.

Ok. Mobile questions first, then intel ones.Mobile.
Merrifield is stated as 1.7x performance and 2x graphics, is this over Medfield, are those figures still accurate and will they be smartphone only SoCs? How does Hermann feel the platform will compare in terms of graphics to chips named after a certain mythical creature, which come to market at the same time. Please, no comparisons to n-2 gen competitor chips. (Please filter this question a little btw)
At the investor meeting last year Hermann said Aicha was able to bring xmm 7260 forward by a few months. Has she been able to pull of any more miracles? When should we expect Merrifield design wins to come to market w and w/o intel modems? Still 1H'2014?
Could Hermann talk about Bay Trail design wins in the android tablet space and are there more coming this quarter?
Is Hermann able to give us an update on SoFIA and whether its on schedule. Could he (I doubt he can reveal it) tell us what 3rd party process it will be made on?
Intel questions.
I would really like to know about this dual os platform and how it is achieved. Is this the same platform Asus' Transformer Book Duet uses? They claim it is done without emulation or virtualization.
Is Hermann able to give us an update on Intel's work with x86 android and its optimisation and are they building android 86 in 64 bit like I think I heard Krzanich say in the keynote. These two Q's might go together.
Maybe not something Hermann can answer but: Will broadwell and be including hardware decode for h.265? Also for anyone reading, is this codec more power efficient than h.264? I know Anand has expressed reservations about the efficiency of haswell video decode.
Wearables. Again not Mobile, but no hurt in asking.
I assume what Krzanich demonstrated last night were reference platforms: the watch, the earpiece and the smart senor blanket. Does this mean intel is constructing a platform in wearables the same way it has with processors and standardised chipsets in the PC market, giving OEMs a much needed framework to take in their own directions and add on their own IP and sensors, allowing them to use Edison for whatever ultramobile or embedded solution they want? That was what I felt was implied in the presentation.

I hope someone from Anandtech stops by the Razer booth. I'm very curious about what is really going on with Project Christine, and the coverage from other sites has been very superficial and lacking technical detail.I'd like to know whether Razer is really modularizing the entire motherboard chipset and providing plug-and-play CPU upgrades, and whether this will scale to future CPU generations...

Please discuss if you would Intel's plans for smartwatches, as well as general thoughts on smartwatches in 2014. So far there hasn't been a smartwatch I think is worth buying, but I am excited about the category. Do you think we will see better offerings from that form factor this year?
