AMD today released the final version of the Catalyst 11.10 driver package for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7, Windows Vista desktops and laptops and Windows XP desktops.

In addition to the Battlefield 3-related enhancements highlighted in the 11.10 beta release, five-display Eyefinity configurations (of a maximum resolution of up to 16000 x 16000 pixels) are now supported, and a new "bezel compensation" feature can adjust for Eyefinity-linked displays with different pixel densities.

We also get some fixes, most of them under Windows 7 - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Lost Planet 2, F1 2010, Dirt 2, Google Earth, and Mafia II are among the games and programs that have crashing or corruption issues fixed, as well as a display corruption issue that I myself have noticed when running multiple monitors with Aero enabled. For the full list of changes and fixes, the release notes are linked below.

The driver package supports most of AMD's DirectX 10 and DirectX 11-capable Radeon cards. As always, the new drivers can be downloaded from AMD's web site, through the Catalyst software's automatic updater, or via Steam.

I get green flashes. I hope it fixed that. Otherwise my 5870 runs Very high on everything with some AA (plus shader AA) turned on at around 45-60FPS.

With 11.09 that is. haven't trying 11.10 yet.

Is that in a specific game or in all titles? If the latter, it sounds like the card is overheating or having some other problem. You might try underclocking the GPU/RAM to see if that addresses the problem.

Just BF3, don't know why I didn't state that. But yea just one game everything else is flawless (mostly).

You're apparently talking about BF3. I have a GTX 460 and I get occasional colorful flashes (they alter between white, orange and green), so it's likely it's a bug in the game itself instead of AMD drivers.

I think he means in general. Poor guy.

no no. thankfully just in BF3.

I think I'm getting the same occasional flash on BF3 as these guys.

For the record: Win7 HD4850/E6600@3ghz/P965/4GB running at 1600x1200, Medium everything, AA off, SSAO on...manages 35-45fps during most multiplayer, dropping to 25-35fps when it gets intense. It looks pretty damn good, even at those settings, but I would definitely appreciate a higher frame rate, and who wouldn't want all the eye candy on?

I'm going to wait until more of my friends have upgraded their systems and bought BF3 before I do any more hardware upgrading myself, since we have mostly still been playing BF2. I sure got alot of life out of that old game, which is why I'm still using Catalyst 11.3 right now. I get major flickering ground textures with any newer Catalyst, and so do many others. I think even newer Nvidia drivers have the same problem, so it's probably not likely, but here's hoping they threw in a fix for that old BF2 problem along with all the BF3 fixes here in 11.10... I'm going to try it now, and report back.

The new 11.10's still have the BF2 glitch, where you see black holes flickering on the ground when looking into the distance (outdoors).

Also, just by monitoring the in-game FPS readout, I didn't notice any speed increase in BF3 with my setup, coming from the 11.3's, so I'll be reverting back again. (not that I expected to notice an increase)

Well son when you don´t upgrade your hardware now and then new drivers will indeed only optimize stuff your dusty rig doesn´r understand...

Keep preaching the 11.3 nonsense though...AMD is bad and you are the more underlayed engineer that is on top of the scene..
