Supertalent: Taking SSD Seriously
In one of the strongest showings of Solid State Disk drives at CeBIT, Supertalent had much to share.
Supertalent had a 1.8" SSD on display with a 40-pin PATA ZIF connector:
This particular drive is important as it is the exact drive needed by the new MacBook Air and most likely the upcoming Lenovo X300:
Also on display was Supertalent's 256GB 3.5" SSD:
Supertalent had a 1.8" SSD with micro-SATA connectors:
The micro SATA connector is important for ultra small form factor devices, if you'll remember the MacBook Air still resorted to using a PATA based ZIF connector for form factor reasons among others.

I am curious if Intel is going to have any more DDR2 solutions on the horizon. To be perfeclty honest, I have not been impressed with ddr3 yet. Higher latancy for higher speeds plus extravagant costs.If the price stays similiar or only fluxuates a little in the ddr3 catagory I can see alot of people sticking to ddr2 (provided it remains at such low costs)
Now ... if they could get ddr3 running at cas 2-2-2 hmm... yes Im pretty sure that would turn some heads. Anyway If Intel stick to a exclusive move to ddr3 based systems only I can't see myself jumping on that bandwagon anytime soon.

Wah, I want to go.As for these "hybrid" SLI's, with a performance increase like that on page 2 we should see 8800GTX's with a hefty 1-2% increase in performance with that bad boy :wink wink:. Well stated as not for the [hardcore] gamer.
