At the end of May we published our second Inside Newegg article, and in the spirit of the first piece we held a contest with Newegg to give away five Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650s.

Newegg just let us know that the five winners from over 20,000 entries have been selected:

Gregory Roberts from MD
Shawn Webster from NV
James Malone from KY
Eric Clay from WA
Jamie Parish from TX

Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who read the article and entered the contest. :)

Geesh, well the neg side says you SOBs!! I NEVER win / while the rational side says, hey shh congrats... least someone won?

But about that lights stuff... I've know that since I was a kid man. I don't know wtf it is, some paranoid delusion or some shit, but I've ALWAYS had lights going out on me. Me and a buddy used to joke about it that there's someone watching us/me and they do it to annoy. But yeah I don't know wtf it's all about but it happens to me for sure, and I'm highly annoyed by it. These damn 'winners' always "oh man life is great blah blah," Wtf? I can't explain it, some people just seem to have good things always coming to them for no merit worthy reason.. Geesh.

Still better than trying to win the lottery. Just goes to show how popular your website is. I go here and T**'* hardware for solid reviews and other goodness...a chance to win a great CPU was icing on the cake. If I'd have won, I would have had to upgrade my power supply, running near the ragged edge of a 550 watt unit now as it is... Thanks NewEgg and Anandtech for running the sweepstakes. Reply

THANK YOU AnandTech, NewEgg, and Intel!

Yep, I'm one of the lucky ones. I never expected to win, and was even a bit suspicious this was a phishing scam. But figured what the heck, I have a good spam filter. :)

To the "fastest 20 PC's win", I'm running a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz that i built ~4years ago. It's time I upgraded, but the budget is saying no.

To every one else, I wish we all could have won. But don't be so neg. Keep entering and maybe you too will get lucky.
