If you own a Nikon D50, D70 or D100 digital camera, there's a pretty good chance that you may be affected by this battery recall (my D70 was affected).  The EN-EL3 battery used in the cameras could possibly short circuit so they are being replaced with the newer EN-EL3a.  You can go to Nikon's website to see if your battery is affected and fill out a form to have your battery replaced (they even give you a pre-paid shipping label for the trip to Nikon).
