Intel has a few new processors due out before the end of the year. The company is expected to announce two new Pentium 4 processors in Novemember with a new Celeron-D processor to be announced in December. The two Pentium-4 processors (672 and 662) will support Intel's Vanderpool virtualization technology:
Unit prices for Intel's Pentium 4 672 and 662 will be similar to the current prices for its Pentium 4 660 and 670, which are priced at US$605 and US$401, respectively, the makers noted. The Celeron D 355 series will be priced at US$127, the makers said. Prices for all of the Intel Celeron D processors are scheduled to be marked down in January 2006, when Intel will debut its new CPUs built using the 65nm process, the makers indicated.
