"The G Watch R is the first smartwatch I've seen that really looks like a traditional analog watch. The Moto 360 is definitely up there with it, but for me the gap in the display on the Moto 360 takes away from it significantly."

Try the positively ancient (and yet to be duplicated) Sony Ericsson MBW series Bluetooth smart watches. My MBW-150 Music Edition smartwatch looks like an analog watch because it IS an analog watch. It still has all the smartwatch functions I want, including notifications, caller ID, call rejection, current media title, playback controls, vibration, and discrete call rejection.

Looks like a rendering to me. Reply

Agreed. In my opinion, this looks like a desperate attempt to steal hype from the Moto 360 launch, so even though there is a sliver of non-usable screen on the LG I'd rather have something that isn't a render. Reply

I'm ready to give Moto my money, even in light of these recent announcements from LG/ASUS/etc... 360 launch is still like a week away tho isn't it? Ugh... Get your stuff together Moto! Reply

I don't think the LG G Watch R will stand a chance to some of the really good smartwatches that are already available. /Jake from http://www.consumertop.com/best-wearable-tech-guid... Reply

There's no doubt about that, but I'm confused as to why they don't have renders of it doing more than just "watch stuff". Texts? Calls? Pron? Reply

Looks nice, but unless it supports wireless charging I'd probably still opt for the Moto (which does support it). I'm curious about the size...

Even tho everyone seems to believe the 360 will be huge it's actually about as small or a smidge smaller than the original G Watch (look up the leaked photos from that Italian site).

Looks better than Moto 360. Although most commentators here would show sympathy for Motorola since it was an American company (when compared to non-American companies) which is understandable I guess. Reply

Check it out. It's just a watch.

(Seriously, they're not showing anything smart about this. They just made a rendering of a watch.)
