So the M79 isn't offered with pure mechanical storage? Time to rejoice! Reply

Seems like Lenovo is doing what HP used to do. Creating small form factor devices for business in terms of optimizing for both cost and durability. I am very surprised Dell is not doing such things as the business market is huge and still has plenty of un-tapped opportunities. These machines are capturing some of the demands since tablets are limiting in many instances. And tablets with Win8 are not low cost in any case. Reply

Dell is no longer a "PC" company. :-D

Basically Lenovo is entering into areas that are traditionally the bastion of DELLs and HPs. Let us see how they do.

Good to see AMD entering into corporate PCs officially though most companies I know have done away with desktops and moved towards laptops :-(.

The only desktops I know are purchased/used in those occasions

    a) Workstations that have power than cannot be duplicated in laptops. AMD is totally absent in this sphere today.
    b) Small tops like M73 shown above (for employees/contractors who do not qualify for a laptop)
    c) If there are compliance related things that force you to use desktops only (like some trading floors of investment banks)
