    Where? I think you're missing a link.

Thanks for pointing that out. That was an oversight of mine when I transferred it from Pages and forgot to actually put the link in. My apologies, it should be fixed now. Reply

I guess the battery drain issue won't be fixed anytime soon. Reply

What's the battery drain issue? I have an 18 month old iPhone 5, have always updated on time, and have not experienced any battery drain issue so far. Reply

I surmise it's Facebook and background app refresh and unnecessary iCloud document syncs. Who would've thought, but FB kills iOS battery Reply

I had an iPhone 5 on 7.1 and now have a 5S on 7.1.1. Battery life has been very consistent, once you turn off Background refresh. Disabling transparency and motion also saves battery (tested with System Status app).

Battery drain from bad apps happens on all platforms. Having background refresh on with the bad app is a going to exacerbate the effect.

I have turned off all the following features on my iPhone 5.
    (1) Location Services & System Services
    (2) Background App Refresh
    (3) Automatic App Update
    (4) Email Push and Fetch disabled. I only get new email when I run the Mail app.

In addition, I always kill all running apps before I put it on standby.
And I don't have the Facebook app either.

Before the iOS 7.1 upgrade, it lasts almost 2 days.
After the iOS 7.1 upgrade, it barely last 6hrs with about the same usage.

My wife's phone is having the same issue.

Do a complete restore? I have background refresh on, automatic app update, Facebook installed, parallax enabled, transparency on, push enabled etc. and still end the day with 30% left... Reply

The touch ID is working much, much better for me in iOS 7.1.1. I'm 68 years old, maybe have dry skin, and touch ID used to be hit or miss. Now it recognizes me almost every time and it is faster too. Yeah! Reply

It bricked my iPhone. Left upgrade running when I got back it was dead. Apple ended up replacing it. Was out of warranty (1yr) but australian consumer law apparently states 2 years. Pretty happy to get anew phone though. Reply
