This updates applies to the 3GS as well and surprise, surprise. It finally gets the 3GS back to the responsiveness of iOS 4.x. It's noticeable in switching apps (i.e. multitasking), especially when switching to the Messages app.

I sold my 3GS on Ebay for $249 after using it for over 2 years. I paid $199 for it.

I noticed that too. And on the same day I ordered a 4S from my carrier. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

The OTA update cannot be downloaded over a cell network; it's wi-fi only.
