GSkill sure has a lot of memory kits that have similar, if not identical, specs but look different. It becomes intimidating to select the "right" model for a given motherboard.

I just purchased the 8GB kit version of this particular G.Skill memory and it worked great with the XMP setting on the first go. With my P55-GD65 MSI motherboard and Core i5-750, my processor jumped up to approximately 3.4GHz because of the new settings, and I didn't change anything in the BIOS except to enable the XMP Profile for the sticks. Its been working great, and to quote a user from a newegg comment which I cannot verify, these sticks, although with CAS latency 11, run about the same, if not faster, than CL9 rated sticks at a lower speed.Reply
This ram would be a great replacement for the generic stuff I have now, which is easily the weakest (and slowest in relation to everything else) part of my system.Reply

I can really use it. My original Asus P6T Deluxe V1 needs some boost. Yes this 2.5 year old PC still can kick some (PC) case. I will only be able to use 3 memory modules @2000, that's 12GB, still much better than my cheap 6GB DDR3-1333 set.Reply
To be quite honest, I'd split the 4x4 into 2x2x4 for my PC and my wifes PC. 8GB would double what each of us have now and it would be with super fast G.Skill tasty ramsticks. Tasty ramsticks is tm by me. Not that its worth a monkey's salt, but I use G.Skill now and haven't had any issues with it since it was installed almost 2.5 years ago now. I don't enter these contests .. (hah canadian) but.. I must say as a side note... that I am pretty impressed with GSkill's Ripjaw series. I've picked up 15-20 kits now (PC1333/16000 1.5V various) and they've all worked like a charm with zero prolems on timing controls.
Of note some motherboards (matx) will run into problems with the heatspreader and aftermarket cooling so keep that in mind if you plan to pick up some.Reply

I just purchased the 8GB kit version of this particular G.Skill memory and it worked great with the XMP setting on the first go. With my P55-GD65 MSI motherboard and Core i5-750, my processor jumped up to approximately 3.4GHz because of the new settings, and I didn't change anything in the BIOS except to enable the XMP Profile for the sticks. Its been working great, and to quote a user from a newegg comment which I cannot verify, these sticks, although with CAS latency 11, run about the same, if not faster, than CL9 rated sticks at a lower speed. After reading Anandtech's reviews of desktop Llano and ASRock's Llano motherboard, I think I'd build at least one Llano system and give the integrated GPU every bit of memory bandwidth these modules can give it. Reply

To be quite honest, I'd split the 4x4 into 2x2x4 for my PC and my wifes PC. 8GB would double what each of us have now and it would be with super fast G.Skill tasty ramsticks. Tasty ramsticks is tm by me. Not that its worth a monkey's salt, but I use G.Skill now and haven't had any issues with it since it was installed almost 2.5 years ago now. I don't enter these contests .. (hah canadian) but.. I must say as a side note... that I am pretty impressed with GSkill's Ripjaw series. I've picked up 15-20 kits now (PC1333/16000 1.5V various) and they've all worked like a charm with zero prolems on timing controls.Of note some motherboards (matx) will run into problems with the heatspreader and aftermarket cooling so keep that in mind if you plan to pick up some.
