At the end of May we published our second Inside Newegg article, and in the spirit of the first piece we held a contest with Newegg to give away five Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650s.

Newegg just let us know that the five winners from over 20,000 entries have been selected:

Gregory Roberts from MD
Shawn Webster from NV
James Malone from KY
Eric Clay from WA
Jamie Parish from TX

Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who read the article and entered the contest. :)

I enjoyed the article of them visiting the Newegg facility and it was nice of them to give away the 5 processors to the lucky winners.

    Congratz to the winners.

P.S. To those who are whining didn't win please hush! You didn't lose anything, it's luck of the draw so live with it.

Was that PS: really needed? :/

Thanks for stating the obvious, we really needed that...

I did however lose something, time, in filling out the contest forms. If I knew this many people would enter I would not have bothered.

P.S. I'm one of those really unlucky people that have a bad cloud over them.

That's okay, I have a dark personality. Literally.

Street lights turn off when I get near. Back in college, a friend of mine doubted me until he rode in a car with me on a 5000 mile trip. Now he believes.

Another friend says that lights turn *ON* when he gets near, so he paid attention when we took a 2000 mile road trip. I won. (I still have his paper where he kept tally. 41 turned off, only 5 turned on. Not counting ones that turned off in the morning, or on at night, where it was obviously due to the time, rather than our presence.)

Wow, I thought that only happened to me... it appears there are two of us. I used to walk home from work around 11pm when I was in college, the whole way lights would turn off when I got near and back on as I moved away. It has always freaked me out.

As for the processors, oh well... hopefully there will be more contests for us to try for.

    ny and anonfreak,

I have that happen to me all the time! throughout my entire life, the rare times I'd be out at like dusk or near there, whenever I'd approach a park light it would turn off, or even sometimes a road light as well.

It always creeped me out but I never gave it much thought. But now with your stories I believe there is more to this than meets the eye.

You're both annoying people, and personally I'm glad you didn't win. There, there's my negativity matching yours. Have a good one.

    Double damn. :(

Thanks Newegg and Ananadtech for giving me the opportunity to win. And than you both for being good at what you do. I am lucky to have two companies that listen to me, the consumer.

Oh sorry, I thought I'd go over the top since some of you fobs wouldn't appreciate something if it hit you in the face, keep flaming though.

I wonder how many scammed the system?
